We are delighted to announce that Irish landscape and wildlife artist RB (Bertie) Higgins will donate an original watercolour depicting an Irish shooting scene to SACS for the annual Sealed Bid Auction.  No stranger to the Association, Bertie has been working tirelessly as a recruiting sergeant for SACS in the Province and his generosity with this gesture shows how much he really does support SACS here in Northern Ireland.

In addition to the watercolour for the Sealed Bid Auction, Bertie has agreed to paint a front cover scene for our winter SACS Magazine. As a sign of the Association's appreciation for Bertie's efforts the SACS Director has conferred the SACS Honorary Membership status to Bertie Higgins for his tireless work for our Association.

Firmly established in the top echelons of Irish painters, his work is fetching considerable sums in the market.  His love of Irish landscapes and game shooting, he says, spurs him on and is inspirational in his work.  His work is regularly featured in the Roy Edwards Gallery, Portadown.

We are delighted to receive this piece of work from Bertie Higgins and feel sure it will help us to raise funds for the Association.
